Cascade Technologies of Stirling, UK, has signed a licensing deal regarding lasers developed and patented by Lucent Technologies of Murray Hill, N.J. The agreement will allow Cascade to source its lasers from manufacturers anywhere in the world. The Scottish firm develops real-time technology for gas, emissions and explosives detection using quantum cascade lasers.
