In Germany, Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH has announced that its Microscopy Group was merged to form Carl Zeiss MicroImaging GmbH. Based in Jena, the company will continue to operate under the Zeiss brand and further expand its global activities in the fields of spectral sensors and microscopy systems for research, laboratory and industrial applications. The sole shareholder is Carl Zeiss AG of Oberkochen.
