Navitar Inc. of Rochester, N.Y., has sold Navitar Coating Labs of Newport Beach, Calif. The sale was prompted by the former company’s recent acquisition of Special Optics of Wharton, N.J., expanding fourfold Navitar’s in-house coating capabilities. The California-based company was purchased by its president, Dan Coursen, and will be renamed Coursen Coating Labs Inc.
