Bruker BioSciences Corp. has purchased molecular spectroscopy company Bruker Optics Inc., both of Billerica, Mass., for $135 million in cash and stock. The company will provide mass spectrometry, x-ray analysis and molecular spectroscopy technology platforms and solutions for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, metabolomics, proteomics and nanotechnology markets.
