Boston Dynamics Partners with Vinsa to Build Models for Visual AI Workflows

WALTHAM, Mass., May 11, 2020 — Boston Dynamics has announced a partnership with computer vision company Vinsa. The collaboration aims to bring new visual AI use cases to Spot, Boston Dynamics’ quadruped robotic platform, as well as other robotics using visual AI. Currently in development for Spot and Vinsa is sensing, computing, manipulation, and power.

Vinsa, launched in January 2020, builds visual intelligence systems designed to improve safety and security while uncovering new efficiencies and quality control. The technology is designed to keep models accurate over time.

Spot’s early adopter program launched in September 2019. The robot has proven useful in numerous applications, including construction, oil and gas, public safety, and entertainment.
