CSEM is a nonprofit Swiss research and technology organization. Bosshard manages developments in the fields of micronano optics and photonics, sensing and security, large area and flexible systems, and the associated integration technologies for applications, including lighting, space and aeronautics, pharma and bio, and health and medical.
He is also a fellow of the Optical Society of America (OSA), managing director of the Swissphotonics technology network, and a member of the board of stakeholders at Photonics21.
Bucourt founded Imagine Optic in 1996 and Imagine Eyes in 2003. The companies focus on offering instrumentation based on wavefront sensing and adaptive optics for academic, industrial, and medical purposes.
He developed a 3D probe, Le Conoscope, based on conoscopi holography. Bucourt is the co-author of several patents and scientific articles, as well as an expert in optical metrology and adaptive optics. He also serves as vice president of Photonics France, the national French photonics trade association.
