Balluff opened a production facility in Aguascalientes, Mexico. The factory, under construction since January, will enable the company to strengthen its supply chain and accelerate product development, Balluff said.

The 7000-sq-m facility was built off a €50 million ($53 million) investment that includes the installation of a 500-kWp photovoltaic system on the roof of its production and logistics hall.
Balluff’s sales location in Querétaro, Mexico, will remain in operation, and the company has already made plans for an eventual expansion of assembly lines for sensors and network technology at the newly opened factory. The facility accommodates 70 employees, and Balluff expects that number to expand to 700 by 2027. The company said earlier this year that it planned to expand its large-scale production sites in China and Hungary, and build a distribution center close to its headquarters in Neuhausen, Switzerland.
