Ayar Labs Adds Vice President: People in the News: 6/19/24

SAN JOSE, Calif., June 19, 2024 — Ayar Labs, an optical interconnect solutions company, has appointed Pooya Tadayon as its vice president of packaging and test. Tadayon was formerly a fellow and director of assembly and test pathfinding within Intel’s Assembly and Test Technology Development group. Tadayon holds over 47 patents in areas including test interconnect technology, thermal technology, and package/product architecture. At Ayar Labs, he will be tasked with creating an outsourced semiconductor assembly and test process to support volume production of optical input/output solutions for next-generation AI applications.

BARCELONA, Spain — The General Assembly of the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) has elected their board of directors consisting of nine members serving three-year terms. New to the board are the Austrian Institute of Technology’s Petra Thanner, TIAMA Group research and development director Benjamin Cocquelin, and Advantech Europe B.V. product marketing senior manager Maurice van der Aa. The assembly opted to reelect Vision Ventures partner and director Chris Yates, who continues as president; Basler chief digital officer Arndt Bake, who retains his role as treasurer; Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation Automation IFF department head Dirk Berndt, who assumes the role of vice president; iMAGE S CEO Marco Diani; head of ZEISS Inline Inspection & Metrology Kai-Udo Modrich; and Vision Markets CEO Ronald Mueller.
