Axsys Technologies Inc. of Rocky Hill, Conn., has received its initial infrared lens production order from BAE Systems for the US Army's Thermal Weapon Sight II program. The order is valued at $4.4 million and could lead to additional orders of $9 million to $24 million over five years. Axsys serves the aerospace, defense and commercial markets.
