In California, Aurora Systems Inc. of San Jose, a designer and manufacturer of liquid-crystal-on-silicon (LCOS) microdisplay products, has announced a supply agreement with Holoeye Systems Inc. of Westlake Village to serve specialty markets. Aurora will provide its LCOS products for consumer electronic applications while Holoeye will promote the products in other markets, including defense, biotechnology, optical metrology, biophotonics and optical networking, and will help develop Aurora products for diffractive optics and digital holography.
