Ametek Acquires Precitech

Ametek Inc. of Paoli, Pa., has purchased Precitech Inc. of Keene, N.H., a manufacturer of single-point and multiaxis diamond turning machining systems for the nanotechnology, military and ophthalmic markets. The acquired company, which was bought for approximately $13 million in cash, has annual sales of about $19 million.

nano
An SI prefix meaning one billionth (10-9). Nano can also be used to indicate the study of atoms, molecules and other structures and particles on the nanometer scale.
