BRIGHTON, England, April 12 -- Four pioneers in the study of carbon nanotubes received Agilent Technologies' Europhysics Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Condensed Matter Physics at a recent European Physical Society conference.
Sumio Iijima, Cees Dekker, Thomas W. Ebbesen and Paul L. McEuen received the award for their discovery of multi- and single-walled carbon nanotubes and pioneering studies of their fundamental mechanical and electronic properties.
