SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 25, 2010 – Agilent Technologies Inc. has appointed Rick Burdsall to the newly created position of chief infrastructure officer.
Burdsall currently holds the positions of vice president and chief information officer at the measurement company. In his new position, he will be responsible for IT, global sourcing, workplace service and infrastructure integration related to the company’s pending acquisition of Varian.
Prior to working at the company, he served as a product marketing manager within the Semiconductor Products Group at Hewlett-Packard Co. Before joining both companies, he held positions in R&D, manufacturing and marketing at Magnetic Peripherals, Lockheed Missiles and Space, and Avantek.
