Adelphi University Plans Master’s Program in Optical Physics

Beginning this fall, Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y., will offer a master’s degree program in physics with a concentration in optics. The research-oriented 30-credit program is targeted to recent graduates as well as to working professionals who hold a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or other related discipline. Adelphi’s facilities include equipment for investigation in lasers and optics, nonlinear optics, quantum optics, laser cooling and trapping, flame diagnostics, and nano- and energy technologies.
