AIA Names 2010 Chair

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Feb. 3, 2010 – Automated Imaging Association (AIA), the industry’s trade group, has elected Rusty Ponce de Leon, president of Phase 1 Technology Corp. of Deer Park, N.Y., as its 2010 chairman.

Ponce de Leon succeeds Mike Cyros, president of Allied Vision Technologies Inc. of Newburyport, Mass., whose two-year term as chairman expired on Jan. 21. Cyros remains on the board as immediate past chairman.  

A newly created board position, vice chairman, has been filled by Greg Hollows, director of machine vision solutions at Edmund Optics of Barrington, N.J.

AIA currently represents 275 machine vision suppliers, distributors, systems integrators, end users, consulting firms and educational institutions.
