The Association for Advancing Automation (A3) announced it will postpone the Automate show until June 6-9, 2022. The show will take place at the TCF Center in Detroit, Mich.

A3 additionally announced its plans to launch “Automate Forward,” a virtual trade show and conference. That event will take place March 22-26, 2021.

“In 2020, we demonstrated that our virtual events can deliver highly qualified audiences to sponsors and exhibiting companies — with more than 20,000 people attending A3’s virtual conferences and webinars,” Jeff Burnstein, president of A3, said in an email. “We’re expecting another great turnout for Automate Forward.”

The virtual show will feature more than 80 speakers and will include a virtual exhibit hall and networking center. Attendees will be able to connect directly with companies and experts to solve their automation solutions.

A3 expects that Automate 2022 will bring more than 20,000 attendees and 600 exhibitors to Detroit. The show originally scheduled for 2021 was on track to be the largest, according to A3, with nearly 300,000 sq ft of exhibit space.

Automate will return to its usual odd-year cycle following the 2022 show. After the 2022 show, the next Automate shows will be held in Detroit May 22-25, 2023, and May 12-15, 2025.
