3D Printing Firm Prodways Acquires Exceltec for Polymer Laser Sintering Materials

LES MUREAUX, France, Nov. 16, 2015 — Prodways, a subsidiary of Groupe Gorgé, has acquired Exceltec SARL of Lyon, a company specializing in the development and distribution of polymer materials for industrial 3D printing using selective laser sintering.

Exceltec develops materials for markets such as aeronautics, military and the medical sector, and also offers a rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing consulting program for international groups and service bureau companies.

Prodway will integrate Exceltec's full range of polymer sintering powders into its materials offerings for the ProMaker P series of 3D printers. Exceltec will retain its structure and brand, and will extend the number of grades and polymers offered. Its production capacity and international representation will also be increased.

Established in 1990, Group Gorgé is an industrial group with expertise in smart safety systems, protection in nuclear environments, industrial projects and services, and 3D printing.
