Quantum Materials Ramps Up Production

SAN MARCOS, Texas, May 27, 2016 — Quantum Materials Corp. has announced the completion of its initial development phase with display film partners, and is entering into a preproduction phase, committing to an accelerated sample optimization and delivery schedule for its cadmium-free quantum dot (QD).

Quantum Materials has begun shipping additional deliveries of cadmium-free QD dot samples to its partners and is scheduled to increase shipment quantities as development reaches precommercial scale later this year. The company anticipates that commercial quantities of a high-performance, cadmium-free QD film will be available to display manufacturers in early 2017.

Increasing concern over the use of cadmium in consumer displays has been driven by restriction of hazardous substances directives and heightened corporate environmental responsibility.

Quantum Materials develops and manufactures QD and nanomaterials for use in medical, display, solar energy and lighting applications through its patented volume production process.
