New ’Photonics’ Grads Coming
The
University of Pittsburgh is offering a Photonics Certificate Program for undergraduates majoring in chemistry, physics or electrical engineering.
Students may enroll at the end of their sophomore year. Grants from the
National Science Foundation and the
Research Corp. are supporting the program, which began this fall under the direction of David Snoke, a physics and astronomy professor.
The program will encourage students to work in faculty research laboratories.
