UK Facility Focuses on Display Technology

Data display and human-display interaction will be the foci of a £1.2 million electronic, photonic and information control center at the University of Abertay Dundee in the UK.

Dubbed Epicentre, the new facility will unite display developers and researchers with psychologists. These specialists will evaluate not only the various forms of display technology, but also how humans use them in real-world settings such as control rooms, cockpits and operating rooms.

The Epicentre occupies five floors of a former Victorian bank on the Abertay campus. It includes seminar facilities and an accredited display test laboratory.
