HyperLight Lands $37M to Advance Lithium Niobate Tech
HyperLight Corporation, a provider of thin film lithium niobate (TFLN) photonic integrated circuits has received $37 million in Series B funding to accelerate product development and boost production. The company's technology platform, based on TFLN, supports applications in optical communications, lidar, and sensing.
HyperLight, founded in 2018, released a set of TFLN-based electro-optical modulators
earlier this year, and has participated in research collaborations with
MIT and
Freedom Photonics, among others.
