Hexagon AB Acquires External-Array Software

Hexagon AB, a developer of digital solutions, has announced the acquisition of External-Array Software, a software development company that develops metrology software for coordinate-measuring machine (CMM) manufacturers. External-Array will join Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence Division, a developer of metrology and sensor products for industrial manufacturers.

“The acquisition of External-Array enriches Hexagon’s metrology software, providing more choices for entry level CMMs,” said Norbert Hanke, President and CEO of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. “The customization function of RationalDMIS software in particular offers customers a solution tailored to their operations.”
