Michigan Photonics Cluster Appoints Diane Durance Executive Director
Mi-Light, the Michigan Photonics Cluster, a nonprofit organization serving Michigan’s photonics industry, has hired Diane Durance as executive director.
Durance has more than 10 years of experience with nonprofit business development organizations. In addition to having been the president of the Ann Arbor IT Zone and executive director of Great Lakes Entrepreneur’s Quest, Durance has been a successful entrepreneur with business in several industries.
Durance’s main duties will include marketing communications, managing membership and board of directors meetings, recruiting new members and sponsors, and co-chairing multiple working groups. She started in her position at Mi-Light at the beginning of February and continues to serve in a part-time capacity as the president of MiQuest and on the Board of Directors for New Enterprise Forum and the MTec SmartZone.
