Photonics Incubator Founded

Responding to the successes of Internet start-ups, Milton Chang, chairman of New Focus Inc., Tom Baer, president and CEO of Arcturus Engineering, and Bill Nighan, former director of engineering at Spectra-Physics Inc., have formed New Incubator, a partnership to launch fledgling companies in the telecommunications, biotechnology and laser/optics industries.

New Incubator will provide the seed capital to develop a business model, build a management team and introduce the viable start-up to investors.
