PI Begins Plant Expansion

!%PI (Physik Instrumente) LP%! of Karlsruhe and its piezo ceramics division, %!11820%%PI Ceramic
GmbH%! of Lederhose, will invest ~$13 million over the next three years to extend
their piezo ceramics factory and R&D center in Thuringia. The company also expects
to add 20 to 30 staff members in 2011 to keep up with the global demand for its
piezo ceramic components and subassemblies for sensors, transducers, linear motors
and precision actuators.
