Solar Plant
Holzkirchen, Germany-based Carpevigo AG, an independent
project developer and operator of solar power plants, has announced the operation
of Osterhofen-II. With a capacity of 1.71-MW peak, the recently completed facility
joins Osterhofen-I, which was put into operation at the beginning of the year and
features a 1.33-MW peak capacity. Together, the plants fulfill the power needs of
915 typical four-person households and spare the environment a carbon emission of
approximately 2900 tons per year. The project was funded partly by Sparkasse Passau,
and Solea AG was in charge of the construction.
