Nonlinear Dynamics Ltd., a UK developer of bioinformatics technology such as analysis and data mining tools for 1-D and 2-D electrophoresis gels, mass spectrometry data and microarrays, has named Steve Noblitt is its US sales manager, Chris Brannen as Western regional sales manager and Jason Attanucci as Eastern regional sales manager with its US subsidiary, Nonlinear USA Inc. of Durham, N.C. Peter Kraus was named a field applications scientist.    . . .    Optical assmebly maker CVI Laser LLC of Albuquerque, N.M., has published its 2006 catalog of optical components and assemblies, featuring a "buid your own" ordering system that enables engineers to specify substrate wavelength and size. The company said it has raised the laser damage threshold for its 10-5 surface quality BK7 and fused silica lenses and windows to more than 15 J/cm2 and has similarly increased the laser damage threshold on its SF11 components such as singlet lenses and multi-element lenses, turning and dispersing prisms, plate and cube beamsplitters and laser mirrors; it said it is also offering more 25 and 50 mm component sizes.
