Taiwan-based United Epitaxy Co., a manufacturer of yellow, red, blue, green and white UHB LEDs, has ordered an AIXTRON AIX 2600G3 HT MOCVD planetary reactor for production of III-nitride ultrahigh-brightness LEDs. AIXTRON also announced that National Central University, in Chung-Li, Taiwan, has reported the successful operation of electrically pumped violet laser diodes developed on an AIX 200/4 RF system.
