Optical Mechanics Buys Torus Technologies

IOWA CITY, Iowa, Sept. 9 -- Optical Mechanics Inc., an Iowa City-based manufacturer of high-precision optics, optomechanical devices, Lidar systems and telescopes, announced it has acquired the assets of Torus Technologies, a manufacturer of research telescope systems and large-aperture optics.

Optical Mechanics said it will support existing customer relationships and continue to promote and sell Torus's ProSpec line of high-precision optics and telescope systems.
