Toshiba America Information Systems Inc.'s Digital Solutions Div. has introduced its IK-TF7A, a progressive-scan machine vision camera designed for color inspection, testing, identification and measurement. Measuring 44 × 44 × 78 mm and weighing 5.82 oz, it features a variable-speed, nine-step electronic shutter and an advanced trigger function. In partial-scan mode, the camera reads out at up to 90 fps. An RS-232C interface enables remote control via a PC. Three 1/3-in. CCDs eliminate jitter, and their co-site sampling arrangement eliminates RGB shift. Resolution is 1024 × 768.
