NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., is offering its advanced optical technologies for licensing and partnership opportunities. Wavefront sensing and adaptive optics technology, procedures and lab equipment will be made available to private industry through NASA’s Innovative Partnerships Program Office’s “Can You See It Now?” campaign. The technologies, which were developed for the Hubble and James Webb space telescopes, could promote advances in microscopy, lasik and refractive eye surgery, biometric imaging, advanced cameras and sensors, and optical communications systems. NASA Goddard also makes available its components, design tools and engineers to help firms develop adaptive optics systems.
