How can small, unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) deliver the precision and robustness required for modern reconnaissance, surveillance, and targeting missions, even under severe vibration, shock, and temperature conditions? Quartz MEMS IMUs, with their high SNR, low 1/f noise, exceptional linearity, thermal stability, large scale integration and low power use, allow EO/IR systems on sUAS to bridge the performance gap between tactical small drones and larger manned or Group 3–4 UAV platforms.
