IDEX Health & Science - Semrock Optical Filters
About This Webinar
In today’s competitive landscape, shortening time-to-market enables earlier revenue generation, higher market share, and maximization of the product life cycle, among other key benefits. Moving from benchtop to production in 18 to 24 months is essential for winning market share but it requires shorter lead times for components to guarantee rapid prototyping. IDEX Health & Science understands these challenges.

In this webinar, Elizabeth Bernhardt from IDEX Health & Science illustrates how the Semrock suite of tools accelerates prototyping timelines. First, she demonstrates the free SearchLight spectral modeling analysis tool, which saves prototyping hours and quickly calculates different filter options. After spectral modeling, she shows how to move straight to the lab using the ready-to-ship Semrock optical filter catalog. With more than 850 optical filters, testing and optimizing optical filters has never been easier. Finally, she presents why engaging with IDEX Health & Science’s team of filter experts sets instruments apart. Leveraging extensive industry experience and granting access to thousands of coating recipes, IDEX Health & Science provides key assistance in optimizing filter selection, including advising on custom coating run considerations and cost optimization. With their commitment to shorter lead times and a dedicated team, they customize optical filters suited to specific applications. Attendees are empowered to use Semrock tools and optical filters to accelerate time-to-market.

Who should attend:
R&D scientists, engineers, or those in companies who use or purchase optical filters in their work. Manufacturers who are interested in shortening time-to-market for their products. Those who work with technologies such as coatings, LEDs, spectroscopy, and flow cytometry in industries including automotive, biophotonics, medical, and solar.

About the presenter:
Elizabeth Bernhardt, Ph.D., is a senior application scientist at IDEX Health & Science for the Semrock optical filter product line. She is passionate about empowering scientists and engineers through her knowledge of optical filters and their important role in optical instruments. She earned her doctorate in physics from Washington State University, where she studied light-matter interactions in glassy polymer fibers and liquid crystal elastomers. She then moved to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for her post-doctoral research focusing on novel liquid crystal devices. After a stint in technical sales, she joined IDEX Health & Science in 2021, where she leverages a broad scientific background to develop new optical filter families, collaborate with OEMs, and assist in technical marketing content development.
