Capasso Group Embeds, Projects Independent Images on Metasurface
Members of the Capasso Group at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) have successfully encoded multiple holographic images in a metasurface. The separate images of a cartoon dog and cat are embedded in the metasurface and can be accessed and projected independently using arbitrary states of polarization. This advancement could improve holograms for anti-fraud protection and entertainment, as well as offer more control over the manipulation and measurement of polarization.
