Hamamatsu Strengthening the Opto-semiconductor Segment with Acquisition of BAE Systems
In November 2024, Hamamatsu Photonics announced that it was acquiring BAE Systems Imaging Solutions. In doing so, it gained the experience of a company whose roots go back to the 1920s, when BAE was known as Fairchild Aerial Camera Corporation. Now, returning to the Fairchild name, Hamamatsu is showcasing its new capabilities in high-performance CMOS image sensors.
