The Ruby Dragon from Minerva Engineering is a UV-visible-NIR (UV-VIS-NIR) spectrophotometer for nondestructive spectral and imaging analysis of microscopic samples across multiple measurement modalities. It uses Minerva’s Lightblades spectrophotometers and proprietary optical-interface technology to enable researchers and engineers to acquire absorbance, reflectance, fluorescence, luminescence, and polarization spectra, as well as high-resolution color images, all from submicron sample regions. The system analyzes graphene and other 2D materials and can measure surface plasmon resonance. It has vitrinite reflectance for coal and source-rock petrography. The Ruby Dragon can perform thin-film thickness measurements on microscopic structures.
