The Newport Solaris series from MKS comprises solar simulators for photovoltaic applications, including solar cell panel manufacturing and photovoltaic research. Based on a full spectrum, single emitter design that incorporates a xenon arc lamp, the simulators natively match the full solar spectrum, including UV, visible, and IR, and are certified to the latest IEC 60904-9:2020 standards. The Newport Solaris series features filters to cover an extended 300- to 1200-nm reporting range, an illumination area of 12 in. × 12 in., and a partial sun attenuator that allows for adjustments of light intensity to fit the sample while keeping the relative irradiance stable over the entire wavelength spectrum.
