The ALTASCAN Pro handheld 3D scanner from Hexagon is for extended sessions with hot-swappable batteries and 2 h of wireless operation. The device is portable, weighing 1 kg, directly scanning parts on the shop floor and beyond. The scanner scans areas up to 720 × 640 mm in standard mode, scanning at up to 4 million points per second. Operators can easily switch between standard and higher precision modes using an ergonomic thumb-switch on the device to achieve a higher density resolution over a 160 × 140 mm area. The scanner simplifies reverse engineering with high-resolution laser scanning, seamless scan-to-CAD workflow integration, and intuitive operation.
