The OP03021 LCOS (liquid crystal on silicon) panel from OMNIVISION features ultralow power for smart glasses. It has a 1632 × 1536 resolution at 90 Hz in a compact 0.26-in optical format, for higher resolution with a wider field of view. The OP03021 LCOS has a small 3-µm pixel and integrated control, frame buffer memory, and mobile industry processor interface receiver onto the silicon backplane, reducing the overall size and power consumption, which are critical factors in smart glasses designs.
