Fluosil synthetic fused silica substrate tubes from Heraeus Covantics offer high purity and geometrical precision and are produced without the use of forming tools. The tubes are made in a variety of specifications to suit various applications in the specialty fiber industry. The high-purity fused silica substrate and cladding tubes are made from F 300 material with less than 1 ppm OH. Fluorine doped material types for refractive index and viscosity match are available, with depressed index of refraction down to -26 × 10^-3. The tubes are available in a wide range of sizes and can be tailored to customer specific requirements.
