Oxford Instruments EMCCD CameraThe Andor iXon Ultra Blue from Oxford Instruments is a back-illuminated single photon-sensitive electron multiplying charge-coupled device (EMCCD) camera meant for applications such as ion trap quantum computing research and semiconductor metrology. The camera uses either 1018 × 1018 at 13 μm pixel or 506 × 506 at 16 μm pixel sensor formats as well as modes for overclocking the pixel readout rate. The Andor iXon Ultra Blue features a quantum efficiency across the 200- to 450-nm wavelength range and cooling down to -100 °C.
