The MidOpt Bi850 Near-Infrared (IR) Interference Bandpass Filter is recommended for use with IR illuminators operating at or near the 850nm wavelength range. The Bi850 features a narrow band design that is ideal for use when ambient lighting conditions can create poor contrast. They're commonly use in security, traffic control, license plate recognition and industrial inspection applications. 850nm is also a very common wavelength used in vegetation health index calculations. MidOpt Bandpass Filters have a broad, Gaussian passband to mimic and accommodate the entire output of the most common LED wavelengths, are double-side polished for exceptional parallelism and optical flatness and are anti-reflection (AR) coated to limit glare and minimize reflection loss.
