Power Technology infrared viewers convert near-IR/SWIR radiation into a visible image for precise laser alignment and inspection. Both platforms use an image-converter tube with visible phosphor output at the eyepiece, accept C-mount optics, and ship with 1× (wide) and 2× (tele) objectives featuring adjustable focus and iris. They detect CW and pulsed sources (ps–µs) without synchronization, and stabilize easily via a ¼-20 tripod/post mount. For reliable visualization, view the beam on a diffuse card or metallic target (free-air viewing requires scatter). Optional neutral-density filters prevent screen saturation when working near common industrial lines like 1064 nm and 1550 nm, preserving contrast for quantitative setup work.
