High-Power Fiber-Coupled Laser Diodes

High-power fiber-coupled laser diodes in fiber array packages (FAP) are available in wavelengths ranging from 785 to 980 nm. The FAPs have standard SMA 905 connectors (optional fibers in various lengths). FAPs are ideal as pump diodes for solid-state lasers, or for direct materials processing applications such as plastics welding and soldering.

ASI has developed a new form of light-sheet microscopy with its collaborators. The system uses two water-immersion objectives mounted at 45° angles above the sample on an inverted microscope; a third objective also can be used to view the sample from below. The top objectives are mounted on piezo-positioning devices so precise image stacks can be obtained.
