Quality, Precision, Reliability
From: SUTTER INSTRUMENT
The Lambda 421 optical beam combiner is a new, patented concept for combining multiple LEDs or any light guide-delivered light sources into a single common output beam, without the need for dichroic ladders. Each separate light source is collimated before entering the optical path through a bandpass filter. The filters for each light source also function as mirrors that reflect the collimated beams from the previous light sources.

FC100: A 100-mm Fiber Collimator
From: Micro Laser Systems Inc.
New SWIR (1500 to 2200 nm) coating and VIS1 (350 to 600 nm) coating have been added to the FC100. Focus is adjustable for wavelength tuning. With a large 50-mm beam and low wavefront error, this Fiber Collimator finds uses in FSO communications and lidar. Our 1550-nm (NIR2 coating) version is usually in stock. A mount
is also available.

Z-Piezo Stage Insert IPZ-3000
From: Applied Scientific Instrumentation Inc.
The IPZ-3000 series piezo insert will fit in most microscope stages with the standard (K-size) stage insert opening. Several sample holders are available to fit the IPZ-3000 insert for holding small dishes, slides or chambers. Travel ranges available are 150, 300, and 500 μm. The piezo insert is controlled via an MS-2000 controller that accepts serial, USB, and analog inputs.

Coatings for Highly Curved Optics
From: Deposition Sciences Inc. (DSI)
Coating highly curved optics is challenging for most thin-film deposition processes. In typical coating methods, curved parts become more thickly coated at their centers and thinner at their edges. To address this challenge, DSI developed IsoDyn, a chemical vapor deposition process that uniformly deposits antireflection coatings on highly curved optics such as domes, cylindrical lenses, and ball lenses.
