New Detector Harnesses THz Light Efficiently
New Detector Harnesses THz Light Efficiently A new take on traditional gauges and imaging systems could more efficiently harness THz frequencies that have long eluded detectors. Researchers have created a transducer, which turns THz light into ultrasound waves and then transmits them, making light-to-sound conversion possible.

Registed Now! Precision Radius Metrology

Wednesday, June 4, 2014 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EDT

FREE WEBINAR

Bruce Truax, Manager of Optical Engineering at Zygo Corporation, will review methods of measurement of radius of curvature of optical components and the associated error sources. The presentation will discuss the uncertainty of the various methods and demonstrate radius metrology using an interferometric radius slide. The results of an inter comparison between three high precision workstations will be presented showing the ability to measure radius to less than 10 parts per million with the proper technique.
