Push the Boundaries of Understanding
At Hamamatsu, we provide cameras that help biologists capture the little things in life - at the micro- and nanoscales (super-resolution microscopy). We are proud to work with biophysicists and technology developers to bring cutting edge technology to the broader life science community. And we are excited to provide tools to help biologists push the boundaries of our understanding, peering deeper into biology than ever before. Neuroscience 2013
The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) will hold its 43rd annual meeting in the beautiful city of San Diego, California’s second-largest city and one of the top convention and meetings destinations in the United States.
Neuroscience 2013 is the premier venue for neuroscientists, with nearly 16,000 scientific presentations, 600 exhibitors, 34 professional development workshops and networking functions, and 28 sponsored socials. Join more than 30,000 colleagues from more than 80 countries at the world’s largest marketplace of ideas and tools for global neuroscience.
New for 2013
New features at Neuroscience 2013 include a special panel presentation on U.S. and European neuroscience initiatives and how they might affect the field, a new symposium on gender bias, and a panel on advocating for biomedical research funding.
Enhancements and Expanded Features
The online tool Neuroscience Meeting Planner has been expanded to include new curated itineraries for specific tracks chosen by the SfN program committee: advanced methods focused on the cortex, epilepsy, and plasticity.
The Dynamic Posters session that debuted at Neuroscience 2012 will expand to include 10 multimedia presentations per half day, or a total of 90 presentations. The Graduate School Fair, featuring face-to-face meetings with student advisors, program faculty, and graduate school representatives, has also expanded to two days.
Art of Neuroscience
Showcasing artists who create brain- or neurological-inspired pieces was popular at last year’s meeting, and SfN is expanding the Art of Neuroscience exhibit for 2013. As many as eight artists will be displaying and selling their art and jewelry, all related to the field. Stop by the lobby of Ballroom 20 to visit the exhibit.
