CLEO 2018 Bridges Tech Advancement, Learning
The Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO), under The Optical Society (OSA) and to be held May 13-18 in San Jose, is a technology playground. It showcases optoelectronics technologies and lasers, in addition to research findings and industry applications.
This year, CLEO will include a celebration of the International Day of Light — May 16 — with special plenary sessions. Those who are not attending CLEO may live stream the sessions online that day. Special symposia sessions, workshops and short courses cover a gamut of topics within several tracks — Fundamental Science, Science and Innovations, and Applications and Technology.

Unique Top-Adjusted Grating Mounts
From: Siskiyou Corp.
New diffraction grating mounts from Siskiyou Corporation are the industry’s first to combine rotational adjustment of square components in all three axes, as well as support both reflective and transmissive optics. Specifically, Siskiyou GMx series mounts can hold 12.5 mm, 25 mm and 50 mm square optics of any thickness greater than 2 mm, and offer up to 8° of total rotation in each axis, with a resolution as low as 3.2 arcseconds.

PicoQuant. Experience Flexibility.
From: PicoQuant GmbH
Two new high-powered modules with dual wavelengths round out our VisIR/VisUV laser platform line-up. Their picosecond pulsed output in the UV/green (280/560 nm) and UV/orange (295/590 nm) spectral regions are optimally suited for exciting molecular probes or tryptophan in time-resolved spectroscopy and microscopy applications, including STED super-resolution microscopy.
