Imaging is a critical component of your machine vision solution, whether your field is security, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, building and construction, or R&D. In this webinar, you will learn how to integrate camera technology into a machine vision system in order to get the most out of the technology. The presenter is Rex Lee, Ph.D., CEO and president of Pyramid Imaging, Inc. and a machine vision professional with more than four decades of experience in business and academe.
Lee will discuss the components of a comprehensive machine vision system, including cameras, lighting, lenses, sensors and detectors; and how to design a system that has the components needed for optimal performance. Areas he will address include: requirements definition, system design, implementation, turnkey systems; and how to determine if a turnkey machine vision system is right for you.
Lee was a research professor at two major universities and is an entrepreneur who has started four technology companies. He holds two patents related to high-density electronic packaging and has published over 50 scientific articles. Lee has more than 40 years of experience, including 25 years in scientific and industrial applications. As CEO and president of Pyramid Imaging, Inc., he heads a business that distributes and integrates machine vision solutions and video imaging components and systems for hundreds of customers in a range of industries. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Automated Imaging Association, now a part of the Association for Advancing Automation. Lee holds a Ph.D. in engineering science, a master's degree in biophysics and a bachelor's degree in physics.
