Founded in 1957, RMI designs and manufactures precision optics and coatings. Our technical expertise include laser optics from DUV to Far IR; IR optics including high output diamond turning; and custom optical assemblies. We have proven experience in solutions for aerospace/defense, life science, medical, semiconductor, industrial, and research markets.

Produces custom, high-damage threshold, long lifetime laser optics including mirrors, polarizers, beamsplitters, and windows. Specializes in coatings from 193 nm to 2 microns. Materials include CaF2, MgF2, FS, and BK7. Supplier to linear accelerators using ultrafast, excimer, and solid-state laser systems worldwide.

PG&O provides reliable, cost-effective, precision optics and commercial components from 0.040 in. to 30 in. diam., highly precise thin-film coatings, custom and standard components and turnkey optical solutions that operate from 0.2 to 15 microns. Delivering highly durable sapphire optics for broad-spectrum apps and finished IR optics for mission-critical tasks.

Manufacturer of laser-quality precision optical assemblies and components (VUV to IR) including prisms, mirrors, windows, retroreflectors, filters, plate-type beamsplitters, alignment cubes, polarizing and nonpolarizing cube beamsplitters, and coatings. ISO 9001:2015 certified.

Manufactures systems for physical vapor and diamond-like carbon deposition, R&D and production coating of optical components, sensors, and plastics. Provides process development for sputtering, ion-beam sputtering and etching, and ion-assisted evaporation.

Designs and manufactures high power metal mirrors, passive and water-cooled copper, molybdenum tungsten, titanium, aluminum, and stainless-steel mirrors, metal mirror corner cubes, laser beam shaping systems, optical integrators, line image focusing modules, 100-plus-kW beam dumps, laser optics, small and large mirror mounts, and lightweight metal mirrors.
